Nervous System Care (TRE®)
Alice has been a Certified TRE® Provider since 2017. Developed by David Berceli, PhD., TRE® stands for Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises. This series of 7 non-strenuous, easy to learn physical exercises is designed to activate a natural process to gently release stress and tension that has accumulated in our muscles and connective tissues - whether due to day-to-day life stress, past or ongoing chronic challenges, or sudden traumatic events. TRE® helps gradually down-regulate the nervous system, giving us the opportunity to find increased resilience, improved relationships, and more contentment.
Alice regularly incorporates TRE® into her own self-care routine as a complement to her running, walking, and yoga practices. She is particularly interested in sharing this technique with athletes, with parents of chronically ill children, with family and professional caregivers of Alzheimer's/dementia patients, and with adults whose childhoods (and hence their developing nervous systems) were impacted by adversities such as parental substance abuse or divorce. You may learn more about TRE® by clicking here.

Most new clients schedule a 2-hour initial session at a rate of $120, followed by a pair of 90-minute follow-up sessions at $90 each. This is usually provides enough of an introduction for an individual to begin incorporating TRE® into their own self-care routine.
